Bear Valley Inn of Craig Motel - Page 1

I called to make arrangements for a couple guys with our company. They had quoted me a price and I said that I would have to call back(I had an important call that came through on the other line). I called back after an hour and he had asked me what price he quoted me at and I asked him what price can he give me. It was $50 higher and I said, well you quoted me $X. He agreed to give me the lower price he had quoted me so I gave him our company credit card number and faxed a copy over as well. Well, I just got my credit card statement in the mail today and it was for $130 more than what he quoted me at!!! I called and talked to the 'owner' about it and she was so RUDE, didn't let me speak, told me that I was basically a liar, told me she was busy and hung up on me. I can't say anything about the actual environment because it was booked for employees, but I would not trust this company with your credit card information. ****DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL****

I called and placed a reservation. I gave them my card info and they sent me a confirmation receipt and told me I am required to sign and fax back to them. Prior to me signing the receipt I got a call that changed my travel plans. I called them immediately to cancel, it was before they had even run the card and they told me I was unable to cancel, that despite their website clearly saying that you can cancel your reservation up until the day you arrive, they had changed their policy due to too many cancellations and that they were going to charge my card anyhow. It is not like I called to cancel at the last minute, the reservations was 5 months out, but now I got a $580.00 charge on my card, and despite all my pleading they refuse to remove the charge. Do not give these people any business!

Tiles on bathroom floor had many cracks and were loose when we walked on them. Wall paper was loose in multiple areas. Shelf in top of closed had 1 inch x 2 inch paint chips. We booked 3 nights but our plans changed so we only needed 2 nights and they refused to refund the last night fee.

Stayed there during hunting season and had a great time.

I checked out of the Bear Valley Inn early and they refused to return the balance on the CC, they also checked me into an occupied room, dangerous in hunting country, and failed to have me fill out the standard information forms. There is no stated cancellation policies, and the new owners are only interested in taking your money.
