Location was great for my little vacation and, quite honestly, I was surprised at how cheap the room considering its location. This feeling, however, turned to disappointment after finding a mouse trap underneath one of the sofas. Not only is that a physical hazard but also it means that rats are running around the room.

In addition, as we were about to check out, they tried charging us $200 for "additional" houskeeping. We tried to reason with them to resolve the problem but they were unwilling to listen to us. Their houskeeping manager, Pamela Stocks, even walked out on us when we were talking to her. They said the $200 was for the extra cleaning (that we didnt ask for). First, they said we had too much trash in the room and they had to take out 2 trash bags everyday. I'm guessing they only wanted one. Another issue they had was that the room apparently "smelled" (because we cooked some .bacon and spam in the kitchenette) and they needed to fog the room. So if your planning to cook something in the kitchenette, be ready to pay up (I recommend just eating out or have food delivered to the room).

Overall, my experience in this hotel was mediocre at best. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are easily intimidated because you will not survive the staff.

24 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

1) My friends and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and 5 days. We booked a "hotel suite" (sitting area, kitchenette, and 2 full beds)... the virtual tour was very misleading. The room was small and dark, especially the bathroom. The decor was so-so... nothing special at all.

2) The hotel charged us extra for "housekeeping" (200 bucks!!!). When we asked them why, the Housekeeping Manager gave us reasons that were so preposterous. Example:

a) "The linens you slept on can't be used anymore." *WHY NOT??? They were not ruined in any way.

b) "Let's go upstairs right now. Do you want to count all the linens/duvets with me?" *I'm sorry but my friends and I are not interested in your low quality bed sheets.

3) Front desk staff was not helpful. She reasoned that the extra charge was "NOTHING" compared to the guests who checked out before us. She said they were charged $500... AS IF THAT WOULD MAKE THINGS ACCEPTABLE.

I DON'T recommend this hotel at all. My friends and I were disrespected and insulted by the staff. I've been to over 50 hotels (mostly around the US) and this hotel is definitely at the bottom of on my list.

It is an upscale hotel in DC. We felt like we were important guests. The room was clean and comfortable, not to mention roomy, with a small kitchenette and two TV's. The hotel staff was courteous. They offered good rates and special packages. The hotel wa

This hotel made me feel : They had nice amenities in the room. The decor was very neutral and comfortable. The room felt like an apartment with separate seating and bedroom areas. They had stainless appliances and a nice lobby. The porters loaded and unloaded bags to our room. The

The hotel was close to the business location where I was working. It had good restaurant and bar and a good room.
