Excellent
This is an older hotel and small store. If you would like a nice place to stay try out the Beachcomber. We haven't been there in a while but they are always very clean and affordable.

Good
We found the Beachcomber simply furnished, but extremely clean and convenient to Pier Park and the local night scene. The Beachcomber lies at the opposite end of the beach from the loud, college kids' scene (LaVela, etc.). This family-oriented...

The rooms were spotless. The view was breathtaking. The staff was VERY friendly with the exception of the people at the front desk. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

We have a multi handicapped person in the family and were looking for a room that would open out onto the beach. Reservation person told us that they had rooms that opened out to the pool and the beach was just beyond. This would have been fine but on check in we were informed that the rooms started on floor two and no ground floor units existed. I ask why we were told that and the girl at the desk explained that they had trouble with the reservation people doing things of that nature. The hotel not very nice but that would have been fine if the room we agreed on actually existed. To top things off, the reservation company charges over 200 dollars to make your reservations for you and this does not apply to room rates. Very sad vacation and it was too late to look else where.

We stayed 2 nights and had a very nice time. Staff was friendly, we arrived early and still had a choice of 2 rooms. We took the 6th floor for the better view. Our maid was very nice and gave us advice on restaurants. Will return.
