50 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The Lodge is part of the Molokai Ranch. The ranch includes the Beach Village, the horse track and the Lodge. I have stayed in both places on different occasions. They are both charming in a different way. The lodge has a main building that is a Victorian, western style complete with a restaurant, bar, live music on occasion and an endless pool that on a clear day allows views of Honolulu and Diamond head. The main building has a wrap around porch with comfortable rocking chairs, I spent hours reading and enjoying the view. The rooms are clean and very pleasant. Each one has a porch or patio. There is a movie theater and stores in walking distance. If your stay is short and you don't want to drive the dirt road out to the Beach Village then this is a good choice. A stay at the Lodge is like going back in time with some modern comforts added. This is what Hawaii was like in the 50s and 60s. A visit to Kalaupapa is a must!
