I have stayed at this hotel for the last 15 years but after my last 2 stays (Sept. & Oct. 2008) I think it's time to find a new hotel. The mattresses lack any kind of support. It got to the point sleeping on the floor was more comfortable. Housekee
The location of the Cow Hollow Motor Inn is fantastic! Very close to the marina, minutes away from the famous curvy Lombard Street. The neighborhood was very friendly with lots of little places to eat all around.

I just wanted to comment on how pleased we are of the way were treated on our recent trip form Portland OR to San Francisco CA. Everyone along the way, from the ticket counter (Gaussan at PDX) to the flight attendents and gate personnel (Theresa and Robbie at SFO), made our travel pleasant and carefree. Our flights were 382 on 6-20-08 and 389 on 6-22-08. Everyone at Alaskan Airlines, not just the oens listed above, were professioanl and caring. We really appreciated the way were treated and made our travel more enjoyable.
Our stay at Cow Hollow was very pleasant and we plan to use it again for our stay in San Francisco. We liked it because it was or had:
- Very clean
- Quiet (we had an inside room, not along Lombard)
- Ample room
- Hot water in the bathroom
- Free parking
- Comfortable bed, bath and furniture
- Very helpful and easy-to-understand office staff
- In the center of so much to do in San Francisco
We didn't dine at the adjoining restaurant as there are so many places to eat so close to the hotel. Very comfortable and easy to come and go. Simple but quiet and clean, it was just what we were looking for in our stay in the Marina district.

I have been staying here for nearly 15 years. The motel has a great location plus free internet and parking. The street noise can be too much if your room is off Lombard.
I almost do not want to write a good review. The Cow Hollow is a best kept secret. It's becoming harder to get weekend reservations. We stay here at least 2 or 3 times per year. The location is great. The food options are better than other...

The hotel rooms were clean and neat. The beds were comfortable. It was a nice, quaint neighborhood and near bus stops. The staff was very courteous, friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is wonderful value for the money. It is a great place to stay with kids. I had a suite with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, a fireplace and a living room. I just loved it.
