La Quinta Inn Des Moines West Clive Hotel

My family of 4 was on an 18 day road trip and stayed in Des Moines on day 15 after not being able to get a room in Omaha, NE.

The check in was fast, the staff was friendly and very accomodating but the room was dirty. There was something that looked like poop on the wall in one corner, the bathroom floor was covered in hair, the blankets were extremely old and ratty looking and the carpet was so dirty it turned my socks black. I was disappointed that the rooms didn't have a refrigerator or microwave. Breakfast was not up to normal La Quinta standards.

Not really the hotel's fault but I was treated very rudely by guests at the hotel. My children and I were splashed and hit with water guns by children and I was verbally abused by a drunken guest on the patio.

We won't be back.

It is easy to get to but parking spots were limited. The elevator was extremely slow for only three floors.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: I felt relaxed. I felt important.

The hotel is clean, with a friendly staff, adequate facilities and reasonable rates.
