The Baymont Inn & Suites in Redding is a newly built hotel, conveniently located off of I-5. Both the Shasta and Whiskeytown Lakes are within 12 miles of the hotel. There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance. This is an all-interior corridor hotel and it is equipped with elevators. The hotel's amenities include an indoor heated swimming pool and whirlpool, as well as a patio with seating and barbeque area. The guest rooms are equipped with a full range of amenities. We booked 9 rooms, but had to cancel one of the rooms. They said they would not charge us. However, several weeks later, my credit card showed a cancellation fee of $99. When I called them, they said we had booked 10 rooms, cancelled one, and no showed on the 10th room. They would not even listen to me. I tried to explain that we never needed 10 rooms, so the 10th room must have been a mistake on their part. They would not even consider the fact that it could have been a mistake on their part. They have no customer service skills at all!!! I will NEVER go back to that hotel!!

Excellent
I was very pleased with my stay here recently. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room was spotless, the AC was nice and cold (it was 100 degrees outside), the staff were very courteous and efficient, and convenient parking was available....

Horrible
This hotel cost way to much for what I got. The bathroom was not that clean and the fridge did not work. The worst part of my stay was my attempt to sleep on their bed. The springs were hitting my lower back and neck. The sheets were rough like...
The setting is convenient, it's quiet.

The setting is convenient, it's quiet. The towels were rougher than they should be no folding rack for suitcases, and no shower caps! On the whole it was okay, the shower area has no shelf to put the things you want when you take a shower.

I booked two rooms at the Amerihost and was extremely satisfied and would recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be going to Redding occasionally over the next year and we will definitely be staying at the Amerihost. The beds are very comfortable...

Indoor poolThe suites are terrible. I purchased a king suite w/ balcony mass eve. The balcony is not an outdoor balcony, it leads into the indoor pool, so unless you like smelling chlorine, you need not apply. Also it's basically a standard room...

Went with a friend for a High School class reunion. They decided I needed to exercise while there, so we used the pool extensively. Rooms were very clean and the pool was enjoyed during the trip. Really enjoyed our stay.
