I loved the entire stay the wole staff was helpful at all times and they go out of thier way to make sure your needs are met. It's pet friendly and located by everything there is to do in town.
visited location 05/02/2008-05/04/2008 -never again, the manager was unavailable to hear and address our problems- all girls basketball team- arrived in rooms, that smelled terrible, showers did not work,...
30 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Unfortunately, my stay left much to be desired. Upon arriving in the room, we noticed lots of hair on the bathroom floor behind the door (GROSS!).
The pool was disgusting. There was no way anyone would have touched it with a ten foot pole.
After arriving for breakfast a little before 9:30am, we found that there was hardly any food left and they certainly weren't going to be putting more out, even though they advertised breakfast until 10am. Very disappointing.
The worst and most strange issue we ran across, however, is when we went to the lobby Saturday night to ask for more towels. The night desk person wouldn't let us in and said she didn't have any towels, but offered us floor mats instead. That helps. As we left without any towels, the lady actually laid down in the floor in front of the front desk (out of view of the camera behind the front desk) to go to sleep.
Our experience showed that many of the employees just seemed to be lazy and lack customer service.
This is no longer a Hampton Inn. It is now the Macon Hotel. From the outside I must say it does look quite nice. Once inside the room is another story. The motel is old and very out of date. The room was dirty...nothing had been dusted or cleaned...
