Baymont Inn and Suites Hattiesburg Hotel - Page 1

Stayed one night while moving our son to USM on 17 Aug 2007. I am something of a germ-a-phobe, but I found the room to be clean and nicely appointed. It appeared to have new everything--carpet, paint, wallpaper, linens. It had all amenities I feared might be lacking (post-Katrina), such as iron, MW, refrigerator, in-room coffee plus continental breakfast in the lobby. The staff was helpful and polite. I can't comment on housekeeping attitudes--we didn't encounter them during our brief stay. I really had to look hard to find anything to complain about: Both luxury queen size beds were a bit high off the floor; and the tub was a bit narrow for a "squatty body" like myself, but I managed just fine. Tiny clothes rack, but I didn't have any hanging clothes. Great place to stay for a night or two.

It was a good stopping point for the day. The rooms are clean and the staff efficient.

I hated that the room keys had to be reactivated often; I ended up with a key for the back door and a key for the room.

The television went out and was repaired the next day; the repairman unplugged my refrigerator and all of my food spoiled. The manager stated, "I don't know what to tell you."

The heater/ac went out.

I had a FedEx package delivered and the front desk gave my 39 confidential documents to someone that was visiting the hotel without any record of it. I called to talk to the manager and was placed on hold for 21 minutes. Three’s still no word on my package.

Their housekeeping was terrible! They used vulgar language and had poor housekeeping skills.

I will never visit this hotel again!

I had to stay my tenure due to military finance payment regulations.
