Baymont Inn and Suites Flint Hotel - Page 1

We stayed at this hotel with our new 3 month old baby. In the middle of the night my husband and I awoke to find out that the electricity had gone out... our fire alarm was not working, the hotel emergency lighting had gone out, our room was freezing (no heat for 7 hours). The lady at the front desk was petrified, had locked herself in the back room, and although she had contacted the manager he did not come in to deal with customers complaints during the incident or the morning after. The man that runs this hotel was extremely rude when I contacted him at his home to express my concerns for the safety of the people in his hotel and the best he did was offer everyone 50% off their stay. He had been informed of this power outage by Union Energy and neglected to inform any guests staying at the hotel.

We like that we can take our small dog with us to the Baymont Inn hotels. The price is right. The bathroom shower curtain has some mold on it.

I had to ask for enough towels for two people. The room did not feel very clean, and the bed was squeaky no matter where you moved on it.

Because of Priceline we stayed at Baymont at a cheaper rate than we would have had if we had stayed at a crummy, no-star hotel. It was fabulous.

The staff is outstandingly friendly and accommodating, with good pricing for extended-stay guests. The rooms provide free high-speed Internet access and the deluxe breakfasts are very cost-effective and tasty as well. Our room also contained a good-sized refrigerator and a microwave for some in-room-prepped easy meals. I especially enjoyed using the recliner in the room. However, the pillows were lumpy and difficult to use. The pool was cold and the jacuzzi was never hot enough to enjoy, more like tepid bath water. I expected a hot jacuzzi but was told that maintenance couldn't do anything about it on the weekend we stayed. The towels for both the rooms and the pool area could be much thicker, longer, and luxurious. As well, thicker and more luxurious blankets would make the rooms feel more inviting. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at Baymont Inns.
