48 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I booked 4 rooms for my family while attending a family wedding. This place was A DUMP!!!!! The first thing I noticed when I walked into the lobby to check in was the smell.. it stank. As I looked around I saw shabby, worn furniture, old dirty carpets, dingy walls. There was a chair at the front desk in plain view that was old and torn with stuffing and duct tape hanging off of it. Nice first impression!!! This did not get better with the room. The room was small and cramped and dark, nothing matched, the beds were old, there were cracks and stains on the walls, frayed carpeting. The bathtub had a really bad caulking job done on it and spots of heaven knows what on the walls around the toilet and sink. The bathroom floor tiles were loose. I basically spent 3 days afraid to take off my shoes or touch anything. The hotel advertises internet access on it's website, which was vital for my brother who has to keep in touch with his job. That never worked. The hotel advertises a nice pool but when we tried to use it we were told it was closed until spring. This was Memorial day weekend in Alabama - it was 80 degrees and sunny - so I'm not sure what they consider spring. The front desk told me the pool was "seasonal" and that they didn't promise a pool with the price I paid for the room. Nice. Needless to say my entire group was disappointed. In the daylight even the exterior of the hotel looked awful. The landscaping was a lovely collection of weeds. The walkways were stained with years of gum and dirt and whatever else. I had an occasion to speak with their central booking as no one at the front desk knows anything ... central booking were incredibly rude to the point of hostile, and all I wanted to do was change one room from smoking to non-smoking. This is the most hideous experience I have ever had at a hotel and I am incredibly embarrassed to have booked my family into this hole.

24 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for business
It was fine. I needed a place to stay that was not as expensive as the convention center. I actually did not interact with most of the services that were mentioned. Those of us rooming together arrived at different times and I did not check in or check out. I was gone all day and I only saw the staff at breakfast. They were not overly friendly, but they looked like they would probably be available if needed.
