Checking into the hotel went fine. As we entered the facility our eyes...
22 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My family stayed at the Raintree resort. The front desk service was poor! It seemed as if you were being a bother if you asked a question to any of them. When we got to our room it was not what the picture looked like. We stayed in the Tucan Room (never again). The bathroom had mold growing along side the toilet and on the walls. When I touched the towel to dry my hands the towel holder fell completely off the wall. There was no toilet paper in the room when we got there, even on the toilet paper holder. The beds were not comfortable. The sofa sleeper had a blanket drapped over it, when we removed the blanket it revealed rips and stains all over the couch. The air conditioning was not that cold and smelled of milldew when in use. The hallways are not airconditioned so it was over 100 degress in the hallways. The pool area is okay. If you are looking for a big swimming pool to actually swim in DO NOT stay here. There is no swimming pool to swim in, it is strictly for the water slides. The life gaurds are all young and VERY immature. As a matter of fact one of them was laughing at how my mother looked in a swimming suit. They are rude and lazy (sat in chairs and talked most of the time). One time two of the lifegaurds were doing some heavy petting in front of the children in the pool area. NOT APPROPRIATE! The arcade was nice... it kept my nephew occupied and he won some neat prizes. I usually an not picky on hotels, but I would never stay here again. Please take my word for it. This is not a great hotel. Oh yes, one more thing. The pool has like a sandpaper bottom, so if you have young children beware. My nephew hurt his knees very badly because the bottom is not smooth and literally scrapes at your skin. It is not even comfortable to walk on.

40 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Me, my husband and our five daughters stayed at the raintree resort in Wisconsin Dells for two nights in July 2008. When we first checked in the staff WASN'T friendly. They immediately said what are balance was. (By the way we had to pay for one night stay in advance). The second thing was when we walked into our room it SMELLED HORRIBLE!!!!! It smelled old and like mildew! The curtains SMELLED and the bathroom shower curtain SMELLED! The third thing was on the floor next to the bed was a bloody cotton ball along with some trash! I called the front desk and they did nothing absoultey NOTHING! I had to ask for housekeeping to come and I told the woman at the front desk that the room stinked and about the bloody cotton ball and I told her I was very uncomfortable and if they would leave something like this on the floor then how clean is the room. She offered no explanation or apology. (This all happen within 20 MINUTES OF CHECKING IN) It was HORRIBLE!!! The fourth things was only ONE light in both rooms worked. We had to call the front desk and they send someone up 2 hours later to replace the light bulbs. (This all happened within the first 30 mninutes after checking in!!!!) The fifth things was NO STAFF in the entire place was friendly. It was a frekin NIGHTMARE and I was ready to leave asap!
PLEASE! Don't go to this horrible place!!!
The cleanest part of the hotel was the pool area or their so called indoor/outdoor water park!
35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Where to begin... The pictures of this place online look really nice, don't belive it! The pool areas were fine but that's about it.
We arrived (2 couples) at 12:45 and went to see if our rooms were ready. We immediately picked up on the front desk's horrible attitude. They told us "don't come back before 3:00PM". We came back at 4:45 and were rudely told to just wait. All the personell at the front desk seemed nervous that the room numbers were not assigned and asked us to be patient.
After 10 minutes we asked again and pointed out that the rooms were garranteed by 4:00 PM on the sign right in front of the reception desk. Finally one scared worker got up the nerve to go back behind the door and ask the she-***** what was going on with the rooms because there were several groups waiting to get there rooms at this point.
Then it happened....she came storming out and I have never felt the vibe and negative energy instantly change the feeling in a room like this! She then sharply thrusted in and practically shoved the desk workers aside and started slapping items on the table, and OMG!!! the face....I'll never forget it. When my friend commented that the rooms were supposed to be garranteed by 4:00, she went berzerko, and gave the death stare. I then muttered something like Shheeesh, and she turned right to me and shouted"IS THRE A PROBLEM HERE" like she was going to jump over the "Hospitality desk" and kick my ass! At that moment the scared worked all just bowed there heads and stared at their shoes. As tired we were I fought the urge to go off on her and just replied, "No Problem here" We knew she was looking for an excuse to not give us our rooms and send us packing.
In hindsight I wish we did leave and went to find a Dells vacancy. Anywhere would have been better. She then on purpose put us in a room with no air conditioning. I then called the front desk and argued for 10 minutes to get another room. They then insisted that there were no rooms but the parking lot was practically empty. Finally the gave us another room. The AC worked but we had a clogged sink, broken toilet, and no lights in our bathroom. They did fix our bathroom light after just 10 hours and only 3 complaints. Also, they didn't clean any of the rooms during our entire stay.
Needless to say we will not be back. I am not sure who owns this establishment, but unless they want their business to go down the toilet they would be well served to fire that miserable day manager who was the only one without a nametag (wonder why), who was in charge at the desk when we checked in on 06/21/2008.
P.S. If anyone knows who owns this establishment, please see to it that this review is passed on and help save the poor abused front desk staff from that miserable ***** of a manger.
