This place was awful from the moment we pulled in the parking lot and was way over priced!!!!

Our door had been kicked in and barely stayed locked

We didn't have a shower head(we found this out the hard way while in the shower)

Our floors were so filthy that we wouldn't even get out of the shower without shoes on(and this was really bad during the night)

The toilet would hardly flush but was leaking the entire time and we had to keep a towel around it...gross!!!

No blinds on the window so we had to use our beach towel

There was still food in the ice box from the guest before us

We had roaches..

The bathroom window/vent thing was broken and wouldn't close, it was held open by some type of small bottle.

The T.V. was broken

We didn't even attemp to use or open the stove

The management was not concerned with these issues, we spoke to at least 10 other guest who's rooms were as bad if not worse!!

All I can say is I hope you never spend a night (better yet 3) in this roach/slum cottage.....

We were on a girls trip and this really isn't what we expected or paid for..not to mention that we drove 400 miles for this..

My family and I went up for 4th of July weekend 2008 and ended up leaving within 3 hours of arriving and they took one night's lodging from us which ended our trip by a day due to finding other lodging accommodations. The reason we left this establishment was due to us just finishing up eating and my husband discovering baby roaches crawling around sink and drain board, the inside of the stove was disgusting and dirty with stuff still hanging off the racks inside. My husband got the man from the office and he comes over and sprays the counter in the kitchen, underneath the cabinets, etc. and then leaves and then we're in there, we start seeing bigger ones coming out and there was a baby one on my son's sandwich on the table within that short amount of time. The lady in the office told us she had no available rooms as they were booked and my husband wanted our money back as we showed up, we followed all procedures and I don't believe that we should have been charged and then to be told that the people before us must have left food, NO, NO, this was an infestation problem and filth problem as well along with a health issue too. At 10 p.m. when we were checking out another establishment, the lady from the office called me on my cell phone to tell me that she was sorry, felt bad that we were trying to find other accommodations but that she could offer us two rooms each with one bed; why couldn't she have done that before we left but I honestly don't know that we would have stayed anyways. If people don't care enough about their customers to keep the establishment cleaned thoroughly, upkeep with pest control, etc., how do they expect people to want to come their establishment? My husband went there as a child as that's why we were there - we won't ever be there again though. A letter has been sent to the Rockport Chamber of Commerce as well.

are these the cottages right next to the fulton mansion? we stayed there 7/5/0/- 7/08/08 and they have been remodeled and some were being remodeled as we were there we stayed in room 208 and everything was new the tile, the refrig 2 a/c's one in each room and very cold in there , shower area very big and roomy, newly painted, new curtains, nice clean sofa bed, no signs of roaches, trash cans outside of cottages, we liked it, maybe other people were in rooms not remodeled yet, but 2 room cottage with kitchenette was very clean. When we arrived owner was mopping the cottage and we had to wait while it dried. Front desk young lady very nice, housekeeping ladies very nice and helpful, owner was very nice and courteous, pool very clean , even has a laundry room area to wash and dry,

has a new pier with new lights being put up as we stayed there. Hope this is
