The Barclay Hotel is a heritage hotel located on Robson Street, so everything is within walking distance. The rooms vary greatly in size and some really are small, but they are all clean and have the essentials. Most can sleep up to 4 people in a variety of combinations. The breakfast is about $8 CAD, and is an extended continental breakfast, but there is also a restaurant across the road which serves a good breakfast too. The hotel restaurant also serves dinner and there's a lounge with some live entertainment. The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and Vancouver attractions - Stanley Park, English Bay, Vancouver Aquarium, the financial district and major shopping centers. The staff are friendly and helpful. A good place to stay if you need somewhere to sleep but due to the lack of space in some rooms, it may not be so good if you like to spend a lot of time in your room.

35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Staff was friendly and helpful but the condition of the rooms was awful. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both smelled of bird droppings from the old type AC machines that acted as convenient bird stands.
There are no elevators in the building and the facilities needed repairs. The location is great.
