This hotel made me feel comfortable: They opened doors as you approached, they remembered your favorite cocktail, they treated you with respect and they just overall catered to your every need and want.

I loved the Barcelo hotel in Ixtapa, I had a wonderful time and I have recommended it to many friends that have also enjoyed it. We look forward to going back in the future.

The location of this hotel is really good. It is located in central Ixtapa. When you come from the airport, you are either first or second off the charter bus. The elevators hang over the lobby, so if you are afraid of heights...!

There are some signs in the elevators about hours of the bars, restaurants, etc., but one mistake we found is the Wet Bar. It says the wet bar for snack bar Caracol opens at 10, but it doesn't. The drinks open at 10. The bars and restaurants were good. I would definitely like to go back. Note: these waves are huge!
