Upon arrival we were placed into the claridge tower, which is old and smelled like cigarettes. After the staff kindly moved us in to the rooms near the wild west casino, we were a little better off. The bed was much or comfortable, but you cannot...
I was very hesitant to book this hotel after reading all the recent bad reviews. I am just a lowly gold card rewards club member and received a comped room at my choice of boardwalk harrahs properties. It worked out because we wanted to see Jimmy...

Stayed on the 47th floor in the main tower, in a Suite on Buisiness.
At first, the Suite was impressive. Marble and granite everywhere and expansive! Upon closer inspection we began to notice how "tired" the Suite really was. The bedroom had a pi

My wife and I usually stay at Borgata or Taj Mahal when we go to AC, but to save a few bucks, we decided to try out Ballys. We booked online for the 24th and 25th and selected the least expensive room that was available. It was our fault really---we noticed the room said Claridge Tower, but we didn't really bother to find out what that meant. We found out though, when we got there!
Claridge Tower is apparently is the lowest cost option when you reserve at Ballys. The rooms are in dire need of renovation, and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and more cleaning still. Seriously, the bathroom counters, the walls, the floor, the carpet---it's all dirty.
We complained about the first room, only to find that the next room they gave us was exactly the same. This is, in all honesty, the kind of room you might expect to get in cheap road side motor inn, only it cost probably 2x as much.
The TV didn't work, the room phone wake up call and front desk buttons didn't work at all and warm water in the morning only available for about 45 seconds in the shower.
The only positives I could find: The bed in the room was pretty comfortable, and the casino itself is large and enjoyable.

My husband and I and another couple had a bad experiment with this hotel. We checked in on Sunday July 27 and had the room until Tuesday July 29. First of all the check-in process is very slow. The worst part is the room , it was awful. There was only ever one other hotel that we stayed in that was as bad. There was a bobby pin, cardboard and plastic from someone opening a item they bought on the floor and was still there when we left Monday , the bath room was discussing! There was mold around the tub and on the ceiling above the tub. There was four of us in the room and a stupid coffee pot that makes one cup at a time. And we only had enough coffee for two cups. The windows were so dirty it looked like it was foggy out all day. We always stayed at The Showboat before and we will be going back. We thought we would give Bally's a try. Big mistake!!!!! We got there at 5:30pm on Sunday and left on Monday at 4:00pm. We would have left Sunday night but we were all too tired to drive. That was our shortest stay in Atlantic City ever. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There was mold around the faucets. The sink and tub were not cleaned in quite some time. Peeling paint. No pillow cases on the bed and no blankets. A layer of dust on all surfaces. The walls were marked and stained.
There are certainly better bargains out there. Stay away!!

We attended a group trip to Ballys and was put in the Claridge tower. My room
was dirty. I clean it myself with clorox wipes. Put sheets over the chairs. The tub was stain the back of the shower mat was cover with hair. After complaining, the tub was clean and a molded shower mat was left in the room.
the carpet was very badly stain. There was a piece of gum stuck to the bathroom floor and was still there when I check out. The only comfort I had was the Bed. Everyone in our party had room issues.
