I had a great room for the price. I liked the great restaurant, bar and pool. I also liked the beautiful grounds.

The restaurant food and the bar service were excellent. The room was not as elegant as pictures depicted. The stove in the room did not work properly. The living room chair was broken.

I thoroughly enjoyed the week. I was at the sister hotel to the Bahia, the Catarman. It was the CAPPO Conference and first class all the way.

The Bahia was an older resort hotel on Mission Bay, but well kept, well organized and with good facilities. The breakfast at their restaurant was very good. The staff was also good.

The worst experience, never going back

We were there from July 14th to the 17th, 2006. Spend your money elsewhere.
The bedspread was torn with holes, there were two cockroaches in the kitchenette. The carpet was ripped and frayed, had stinking water drains, a patio door that was nearly impossible to open and they failed to clean the glass. There was a musty smell, this room was an upgrade from a room that I had complained of a damaged bathtub. You will pay more than you should at this hotel.
The experience felt more like staying at a Travelodge motel. It was not clean. The website’s advertising and pictures don't show you the details. Stay away!

It was very pleasant, with a lovely view, beautiful grounds, and charming atmosphere. But somehow, I expected more elegance for $125/day.

The hotel's location was good: close to the beach, on the bay. My room was upgraded without asking upon check in. The view was very nice.
