54 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We are a family of four and we stayed here first the night of 12/22/07 prior to a cruise and had pre-booked a second night for 12/30/07. The location is great-right across from the south beach promenade and amidst the Art Deco area of Miami-very hip and fun party region(even fun to walk the boulevard with our two young boys at night). The first night we were in a tiny, somewhat noisy room really in serious need of updating. This one was on the 1st floor of the main building. Since the 2nd night was not refundable, we returned a week later after the cruise. This time we were sent to the 2nd part of the main hotel across the street. The room was larger ,nicer, cleaner and more up to date with an art deco style in the bathroom but..... interestingly, absolutely no paintings or other decor in room. If you want a great location and a "reasonable"(that's all relative) cost for this area then this is your place. Also, in all fairness, the staff were extremely accommodating and we lost our luggage and had other challenges with airlines with which they assisted in an impeccable fashion.

If location is big for you while on vacation, you have picked a great place in this hotel, the beach and close to anything you might want to do while in town. The rooms are small, but they are clean, light & airy and modernly decorated. They also provide a continental breakfast free of charge, which is a nice way to start off each day. If you care about this kind of thing there is also wireless internet for no charge.
It's not the best hotel in town, but it's most assuredly not the worst, and you won't be sorry you stayed here unless you were looking for it to be the Biltmore. Service can be iffy, but it's nothing to really quibble over.
