When in Texas for a business trip, I stayed at the Austin Marriott North. They have a great golf package, that I was able to take part in with the owners of the company we were meeting. Our stay was especially pleasant.

We were placed in Room 110, which is wheelchair designed. We did not need that design, but it was the only room available when we checked in. As it turns out, the "roll in" shower was so poorly designed that while I was running water to get it hot,a "river" ran right under my husband's feet while he was on the "throne." It also meant that if you wanted to use the hair drier, you had to stand in water! Also, the slab under the carpet was chipped on my side of the bed, so you felt "crunching" when you got out of bed.
When we asked to be moved to a new room the next morning, the clerk didn't say, "I'm sorry" or "What was wrong with the room.
Later that night when we checked to see if we had been moved, we luckily were greeted with a more experienced desk clerk who immediately appologized for the inconvenience, asked the problem we had, and offered a commplimentary breakfast buffet.
Such a pretty and new hotel should not have this shoddy construction.
Also, read the fine print carefully on their web site. We thought internet connections were included free, since they were listed with ironing boards, etc. But it's an extra fee.
