Horrible
The place was pretty gross, the pillows were probably 20 years old, very lumpy, old and uncomfortable. I accidently left my wall charger for my phone so I called and asked to have them mail it to me since I live 4 1/2 hours away. I told them to...
After reading several negative reviews about the Inn, I was a bit hesitant to stay there. However, I had a friend staying there and I stayed at the Auld Holland Inn for 7 days/nights. I found the rooms to be a bit outdated, but then maybe it's ...

A friend came to town for high school graduation, and knowing her love of all things "quaint and charming" I reserved a room for her at the Auld Holland Inn. Her room was charming, clean and comfortable. She took her morning coffee and complimentary breakfast poolside, and made good use of the outdoor hot tub. She claims the waterfall and beautiful gardens combined with the friendly service made this one of the most relaxing trips she has made for a long weekend. She's even planning a return visit this summer, just to stay at the inn.

I took my friend to Auld Holland Inn just to give her a break after her daughter died. We wanted to explore Oak Harbor and take in a few sites as we had only driven through Oak Harbor and not explored it. When we arrived, our room was ready and what a delight to find it absolutely spotless clean, and furnished with charming ruffled curtains, an antique dresser, marble sink with both tub & shower, and two comfortable beds. It was also furnished with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave & phone. The hotel has two beautiful waterfalls, swim pool, sauna, exercise & jacuzzie and a fantastic old Holland style windmill for an office also filled with lovely antiques and Holland charm. The hotel clerk was more than helpful, furnishing us with hot water & cider along with windmill shaped Gingerbread cookies and a personal tour of the nicely landscaped premises. I must say we were very impressed with our stay and are eagerly looking forward to more visits this summer.

It was a quaint little hotel in the middle of nowhere, surprisingly clean and well maintained. The rooms were in excellent condition and they had a very interesting style. Even though the hotel was rather large, it felt like we were in a bed and breakfast
It just seemed that this hotel was so nice that it just made you feel great about yourself. I got a great room for a great price. It did not feel like any old hotel. It was different and out of the ordinary, yet very well decorated and for a good price.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Auld Holland Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
Most horrible motel experience ever.

Horrible
I stayed in this motel for a week while on a business trip. The first sign of trouble was that they processed charges for the full stay when I checked in rather than when I checked out! I've never stayed in a motel that charged for everything up ...
My family and I are military and were in the midst of a move overseas. We wanted to stay somewhere with a kitchen after we moved out of our home so we chose the Auld Holland Inn - not the main hotel, but the mobile homes off the side of the Inn.
When we moved in, there was about a 1/2 case of beer left in the fridge, what looked to be melted ice cream in the freezer. When we walked in, the maintenance worker was inside the place and said the fire alarm was hanging down so he was there to fix it. We should have left then.
The place is fully furnished down to the pots, pans, dishes, etc. Well, most of the dishes that I pulled out of the filthy drawers and cabinets were dirty. I bleached down the cabinets and fridge before I put any of my food into them. The bedding looked like it was supposed to be white, but was really an off shade of gray. The faucets in the bathroom leaked. Also in the bathroom was a huge stain on the wall next to the mirror and on a whim I tried to wipe it off with a rag and it came right off which told me that they obviously didn't do very much cleaning between visitors.
My daughter has allergies and they were in full force here. The carpets felt dirty when walked on with bare feet. The decor had a Brady Bunch garage sale motif - meaning very old and not well taken care of. The vinyl sofa was so filthy that we bleached it down and blackened a washcloth. My son was eaten alive by some sort of bug that we never did find out what it was. There were obscenities written inside one of the closet doors. We ended up staying a total of about 48 hours of what was supposed to be a 2-week stay.
On the plus side, the water pressure in the shower is the best I've seen for a hotel.
I have asked for a full refund, but at this point have only received a refund for the days we did not stay. I am working with the BBB to get a full refund.

Where to begin? When we moved in, there was about a 1/2 case of beer left in the fridge, what looked to be melted ice cream in the freezer, and it was FREEZING inside. This was to be expected as the heater had been turned off while no one was staying there. When we walked in, the maintenance worker was inside the place and said the fire alarm was hanging down so he was there to fix it. We should have left then.
