43 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
For the money ($107 for a triple w/ breakfast included) we thought it was a good value. Our room was on the 7th floor and didn't have much of a view and the room itself, although it had the amenities, somehow lacked that excitement you feel when you first walk into a great hotel room. Nonetheless, the room was clean and well equipped and the service was excellent. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we had while in Brazil (most hotels include breakfast with the room). Beware that most pools and Jacuzzis in Brazil are UNheated and this hotel is no exception. It's about 4 long blocks to the beach and i block to the subway. The area seems safe and we had no problems. Overall, it's a good deal for the money. Enjoy Rio!
