50 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The two-room suite in the tower was an exceptional price and value. It had a Jacuzzi tub and was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the room had central HVAC. The television could have been bigger and had an easier to use menu and channel selection. The hotel was well located for the business I had to conduct.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: The Jacuzzi tub was not something I'd ever had in a regular hotel room.

I am very likely to return to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

They were fantastic, friendly, and well equipped.

This hotel made me feel respected: The staff went above and beyond to meet my needs. They spent time looking for my lost cell phone and followed up with me each day. They made sure my room was clean and well stocked each day.

The hotel has large rooms decorated in a colorful tropical style. There are several restaurants from which to choose. Toucan Charley's, the buffet, is a standout place with a wide variety of food choices.

This is an very enjoyable casino hotel. We stayed here once during a snowboarding trip in Tahoe. The buffets are very good (oysters made the $20+ buffet worth it), and had no issues with the service. We don't gamble much, but we enjoyed the Atlantis theme, which by decor standards was not too overblown. A little out of the way (not in the downtown), but I consider that a plus.

The reservations clerk was excellent. She gave us all the time we needed and really gave us her undivided attention. After check in, the front desk was not able to answer most of the questions I had, though. They kept directing me to the concierge, who didn't answer the phone. Half of the time, I was transferred. The location was awesome, so was the location of our room. We were on the nineteenth floor with a spectacular view of the city! The room service was very friendly and on time. I was a little upset with the housekeeping. We didn't want any service and hung a sign on the door for privacy. We had our one year old and it seemed that every day at her naptime, the housekeeping would call us to see if we wanted service. I thought that was a little inconsiderate, since we did have the privacy sign up all day. This hotel is a great deal on the off-season. We paid fifty-five dollars a night, plus taxes, and that's better than most of the large chain hotels we checked out. I would recommend to request to be in the main building, not the motor lodge, as you don't get the whole experience if you're outside.

This hotel made me feel sophisticated: The hotel was so upscale. The whole place was much classier than anyplace I've every stayed before. They called me Miss or Missus at check-in and check-out.

I am very likely to return to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

kickinit icon A good Reno/Tahoe crash site

Meaning the Atlantis is a good place to crash if you're stuck in Reno/Tahoe due to bad road conditions. Really, do you want to sit for 11 hrs+ in your car getting back to the Bay Area?

The casino is not located in the main downtown Reno area, which might be a turnoff for some, but I like that it's not as crowded. Plus, they have a pretty good seafood bar. The rooms are 2.5-3 stars, so nothing fantastic there, but at least you'll have the same essentials as the pricier hotels in the downtown area.

46 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My husband and I recently stayed over a weekend at the Atlantis Casino in Reno. We attended a wedding reception held in the Atlantis Ballroom. It was beautifully set and the food was great. Ask for a room in the Dolphin Tower. It's not your usual hotel decor (it's very nice) and has coffee makers. The service was great. Also, went to Monte Vigna the next night. Again, they had great food and service. We would definitely go back.

The service in the restaurant was slow the last time. You normally do not have to wait more that ten minutes for food or receive your food cold.

I booked a concierge floor room. It was not worth the price. The room is one foot larger than a regular room and the snacks and continental breakfast were sorely lacking. We had booked for two nights but only stayed one night. I would never stay at the Atlantis again.

There's a very premium atmosphere throughout every section of the building. I especially enjoyed the all-you-can-eat sushi bar.

This hotel made me feel excited: The hotel was, by far, the tallest and most extravagant place in the immediate area, towering over and dwarfing all the surrounding buildings.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
