Atlantic Shores Resort is Key West*s Only Oceanfront Alternative Resort with a very diverse clientele in what we feel is the most open, inclusive, exciting and entertaining environments on the island. Our 72, clean, affordable rooms are located on the south, oceanside of Key West in the historic, old-town area. We are minutes away from the heart of downtown, Duval Street, and within walking distance of all area attractions, bars, restaurants and other places of interest to our visitors. Additionally, our Oceanfront Pool & Pier Bar is undoubtedly one of Key West*s most popular daytime spots for visitors and local residents. It features a full service bar from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., grill from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and happy hour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., daily. From October to March the sun sets on our side of the island affording unobstructed and spectacular sunset views in one of Key West*s more intimate settings. More importantly, this area is *clothing-optional* (As in *no clothes*) Just another feature that has made us Key West, and World, Famous. For those guests who may be uncomfortable in our *clothing optional* pool area, we can arrange for use of a *clothing required* beach and pool just next door. On Thursday nights we host a popular outdoor, *under the stars,* Cinema and on Sunday Nights, a traditional outdoor Tea Dance, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. It is appropriately called *Tea by the Sea.* These weekly events are a must for many of Key West*s residents and visitors from numerous guest houses and other hotels. During *Tea* you can dance oceanside, cooled by tropical breezes and under a romantic night sky. That*s probably why it*s been an island favorite for over seventeen years. I miss the Shores. It was always so much fun there...and very entertaining. Wish somebody would open a place like the Shores. It was about the only place where locals and visitors could hang out (literally).
In 1983, during the week of the 4'th of July, a friend and I stumbled onto the Atlantic Shores on my first visit to the Keys. Our room was $45.00/ night!!! Of course, it costs more now, but I still hold fond memories of the following 16 consecutive...

Okay
It is a shame that "ATLANTIC SHORES" AND "DINA SHORES" is no longer in KW. My parnter and I of 10 years have vacationed in KW the entire 10 years that we have been together. ATLANTIC SHORES was the...
I stayed at Atlantic Shores for three years in a row. The last two I went with friends and we used the apartment. It was immaculate, well-maintained, and we had a wonderful time. Rumor at the time was that it was about to be torn down and replaced...
The locations is a short walk from everything. Great dining near by and a pet friendly beach is just up the street. You are steps from the most southernly point in the US.

Be informed before booking. We were all was very disappointed because kids under 16 were not allowed in the pool because of the clothing optional the hotel has. If it was more family oriented it be full.
I am not likely
to return to the Atlantic Shores Resort.
I would not recommend it to friends.
Stayed at the Shores a couple times. Rates were decent, but it's not the Ritz. Heck it's a beach town. Pool area was fun to hang out. The crowds were entertaining. Rooms were functional, but coulda been better. I'm gonna miss the Shores.

**HIDDEN: Not a review of a stay**
This hotel is closing June 1 2007. The 1950's era hotel will be demolished and replaced with an new, upscale hotel. Since the location is waterfront, this precious bit of Key West real estate will get a first class hotel with modern amenities. Stay tuned for the grand opening of the replacement, coming sometime in 2008.
