Great hotel under new ownership and management for Summer 2009! Located directly on the beach with ocean front rooms & balconies. Newly renovated rooms include flat screen TV's, pillow top mattresses, fully equipped kitchens with full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, and toaster. Hotel amenities include outdoor pool, post-checkout changing rooms, complementary coffee, book & game loans, and a positive smiling staff!

Hotel is rundown and filthy. Rooms are moldy. Fire Alarm system malfunctioned 4 times within 24 hour period. Screeching ear piercing alarm (requiring fire dept and police to turn off) went off 8 am, 2 pm, 12:45 am and 1:30 am. Rooms had to be evacuated each time and parents stood in front of the hotel with crying babies in the middle of the night! Both day and night management were notified by numerous guests who requested compensation. When I asked if we would be compensated the manager told me "No". When I told him that I couldn't believe he wasn't going to apologize or explain, his reply was "you didn't ask for an explanation". I currently have a complaint filed with Howard Johnson's. Worst hotel experience of my life.

Okay
Atlantic Oceanfront Inn has nice rooms and I liked how even though it was a motel, the rooms opened up from the inside of the building. However, the pool is way too small and it is way too far from all the excitment that is Ocean City.
67 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
It was very dirty with unhealthy conditions. Bird droppings all over the oceanfront balconies. Staff is nasty. The Health Dept. should shut this place down.
