I stayed here 12 days in 2000 and thought it was wonderful! Great price, clean, safe, fairly modern, friendly staff, perfect location, close to the beach, quiet, excellent TV & air conditioning, no hassles. Room had a small frig & I found a grocery store nearby. It was the best two weeks of my life!
First time back to Hawaii since my parents & I lived at Schofield in 1947-48. My Dad took some great slides we've watched often for 60 years. I took more slides in 2000, many updates of the same classic Oahu places we saw in '47. Also enjoyed reading "The Teachings of Buddha" which was under "Gideon's Bible" in my Hotel room.
It took me a little while to learn the name of the Hotel as I believe technically it has both Honolulu and Waikiki in it's name. It's on Nahua Street. When I return to Hawaii I plan to stay here again.
When you get your fill of nearby Waikiki Beach for the day you can take a cool quiet walk in the shade along beautiful Ala Wai Canal and probably see a rainbow.
