Hotel was above a club which was very, very loud. The room was very spacious, but dingy, sort of like a cheap, sleazy motel. Room smelled like cigarettes!! A huge hole in the bathroom door (a fist print?) Bed very squeaky!!!! Locale very scary.

Okay
For the price, the Aruba is a good hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful but the rooms are outdated even though they've just been remodeled. Tile floor with no rugs (cold); very few electrical outlets; one lamp didn't work; walls are thin...
Rooms look nice. Staff is friendly. Now for the bad stuff. The facility looks like a motel. The lobby has been redone and is nice. Several guests had things wrong with the rooms: thermostat not working (no heat); light bulbs out, toilet out, room...
First the hotel is nowhere near the strip. There was Police tape on one of the rooms there. When we first got in our room, it was seriously around 120 degrees in our room. The wall AC did not work at all. I went for a swim and the pool was filthy....
