Beautiful year-round resort on the shore of Lake Darling located 2 hours Northwest of Minneapolis. The Big Splash Tropical indoor Water Park is now open! Year-round recreation includes 18 hole golf course, 18 hole executive putting course, two sand volleyball courts lighted for nighttime play, basketball hoops, indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, fitness center, four outdoor tennis courts and a 14,400 square foot indoor tennis facility open year round, full service marina, snowmobile rentals, stables offering guided trail rides and sleigh rides, bike rentals, ice fishing, sledding hills and an ice skating pond, onsite restaurants, one on-site lounge available for your convenience and an indoor spa. Plus we have 28,000 plus square feet of function/exhibit space. Although select rates include four Water Park passes, two additional passes can be reserved for 15. 00USD each/day. If more than two additional passes are required, guests will have to purchase them daily at the Water Park for 15. 95USD Sunday-Thursday and 20. 95USD Friday-Saturday. There is no guarantee of daily admission. Water Park passes will become active for guests upon check-in at 1PM. * Note - During the Summer of 2006 we are reconfiguring our golf course to be a championship course. The back 9-holes will be closed. Summer 2006 it is a 9-hole course only. * As of March 21, 2006 the Arrowwood Alexandria is a completely non-smoking hotel. Smoking is not permitted in any of the guest rooms, or common areas. * Note - Water Park is closed from Monday September 4th, 2006 at 1:00pm - Friday September 8th, 2006. We work hard to achieve a welcoming and enjoyable environment at Arrowwood and do everything possible to provide services and accomodations that exceed our guests expectations. We took our daughter there for her birthday. I was disappointed when we got there, it looks different on the web. The room, a deluxe which on the web looks bright and light, was dark and so were the hallways. The pools looked like there was rust on the bottoms of them, not very inviting. So we won't be back until it is updated.
While the room was clean and spacious, the bedspread was old and the bathtub was worn. Public areas also looking a little worn. Workout facility was not available and no food service was available after 10PM (Isn't July tourist season?!). I...
