Location.Run down room and no room service. Overall, this hotel was good for what we needed. Which was a place to stay after our concert. The window was broken and would not open so I was pretty miserable. I was also disappointed that there is no...

The staff. The mouse in the bathroom. This is a decent and economic hotel--bland breakfast and dinner food (but they're both free!). I'd have given this place an overall good rating, but for the mouse in my bathroom (!)--which makes me have some...

Okay
Good price for a hotel room for a one night stay. It was clean, but smelled like Pine Sol. The man at the desk was exceptionally polite. The room was large. The bed was a little too soft, like an overused beanbag cushion. The pillows no support...
Looks nice outside - lobby nice - 1st room had overwhelming smell of cleaning supplies - but they moved us to another room. Room was clean. Jacuzzi tub is nice. Our room had a ceiling fan which was nice. Could hear room next door though and water...

Okay
Clean, well lit entry way, attractive lobby.Jacuzzi tub didn't work. For the price the hotel amenities at the Arena hotel were good. It got a little noisy but overall the hotel sufficiently met the needs of my guest who I actually purchased it for.
41 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business
The Arena has an elegant ambience, which I didnt expect for the price. It presents a tropical/colonial setting just off a busy street in San Jose. We had fun sitting around the fountain in the evenings and meeting other guests.
The decor was unexpected for a budget hotel - mirrors everywhere, and the elevator music on the stairs is a nice touch. Really their advertising doesn't do them justice.
Centrally located to the HP Pavilion and Convention Center
