The Arcotel Moser Verdino hotel is housed within one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings in the bustling heart of Klagenfurt, only meters from the Lindwurm, Klagenfurt's landmark. The pedestrian zone around the Alter Platz begins next to the hotel. It offers 71 elegant rooms with bathroom, hairdryer, desk, minibar, TV, PC/fax connection and direct dial phone. Although the rooms vary in size because of the age of the building they are generally large and all decorated and furnished to a high standard, as are the bathrooms. Eat at the hotel's Café Moser which has been an institution for decades. It is a must to have breakfast in the café after shopping on Saturday. NB. All rooms have en suite facilities

The Arcotel Moser Verdino is an imposing traditional building located on a corner of historic Klagenfurt's old town, within one kilometer of the town's boutiques and shopping arcades. The hotel's 71 guestrooms have a traditional décor with wood furniture. Superior rooms have curved-glass windows and mahogany color bedsteads. All rooms satellite televisions, minibars and Internet access points. The décor of the hotel's public areas are all designed with an Art Nouveau flavor. The restaurant has an open- plan approach from the reception area and has dark wood furniture with white tableware. Light snacks are available in the afternoon and sushi is a specialty for the evening meal. The lounge-bar also has a minimalist layout with black wood and glass surfaces. The hotel caters for conferences and social gatherings with three different sized rooms - audio-visual equipment is available for conference use. Klagenfurt has much to offer those interested in its history and culture and visitors would do well to start at the Lindwurm, a curious 16th century monument depicting a dragon whose skull was thought to be found in the 14th century. For budding astronomers, the planetarium provides a good family day-out (five kilometers away). The old town, in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, has great examples of Baroque architecture - buildings are floodlit in the evenings for extra romance. Klagenfurt airport is 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the hotel. Taxis from the airport to the hotel cost approximately 9 EUR. Buses operate every 30 minutes from the airport to the city center and cost 2 EUR. Trains run every hour to the city center.
