member icon Worst Place ever BOBBY SUCKS(Management)

20 year old female with a moderate budget

I just want to let everyone know that I use to work there and it is the worst place i have EVER worked at or experienced from a business. The boss (Anila) has a married couple (Sandy and Bobby).. Sandy does front desk and bobby is pretty much maintenance and he runs it at night. BOBBY is the meanest, RUDEST asshole i have ever met in my life or have had to deal with at a job. That place isn't even up to code. I once told him that the deadbolt doesn't work and he says "We don't fix those once they break" Really? well isn't that illegal for a business not to have working deadbolts? THE CARPET IS NASTY.. they never shampoo them. They also paid me CASH, 6.15 an hour...VERY CHEAP PICKY PEOPLE so they can get out of taxes and they are about to get in trouble for it once i'm done. He treats everyone like crap. I know three people including myself who have quit because of the way he screams at you and treats you like your stupid. He constantly tells you that you can leave if you don't like it , when any proper boss, business should never talk to you that way.. when you have an issue he needs to get off his arrogant ass and help resolve it not make cry baby sounds and bitch at you the next day. I HATE ARBOR INN. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN IN MY LIFE I WILL NEVER TELL ANYONE TO STAY THERE. I've also met various people who have also told me that he is very rude to them. Lots say they would like to kick his *** and they won't have their business be promoted and stay there any longer. He acts like he doesn't want business. What kind of place is that? They are there to make money, not to kick you out and treat you like shit so you won't ever want to stay there again. My mother had also stayed there and they tried blaming her for bringing ANTS there. Who can or has broughten ants to a fuckin' hotel room? Maybe if it wasn't so nasty you wouldn't have ants. Maybe if the lazy maintenance man did something else besides smoke cigarettes, yell at his wife and drive his truck around all day then that place wouldn't be so nasty. and maybe if he got the dildo out of his ass he wouldn't be such a rude person. He also yelled at my family for coming up there to get snacks and pop.. which are there for guests you know? he would mumble and talk crap as he walked away to get it and then tried sayin' he wouldn't sell any pop or candy to them again What kind of crap is that? WORST MOTEL EVER BOBBY SUCKS MAINTENANCE IS RUDE .. YOU SERIOUSLY NEED NEW MANAGEMENT ANILA IF YOU EVER IN YOUR LIFE WANT TO MAKE SOME MONEY OF THAT PLACE NO ONE IS GOING TO DEAL WITH A PERSON SO RUDE. PEOPLE PAY A LOT OF MONEY TO STAY THERE AND WE HAVE A RUDE NASTY MAN NAMED BOBBY TO TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP. ARBOR INN IS THE WORST MOTEL EVER!

45 year old male with a economy budget

I tried staying here in 2002; I was on a trip up to Lansing towing a trailer. I got in fairly late, and it took a while to rout out the night desk clerk; I could have stolen everything in the lobby in the time it took for him to climb out of his snooze and wait on me.

He gave me a key and charged my card, and off I went---to find that the room he'd given me was already occupied. The door was chained shut and there was someone in there, sleeping with the TV on (that was how I knew there was someone in there). I went back to the lobby, but this time I could not rout that clerk out for love or money. I tried and tried, and took the opportunity to warn others who came in about what had happened to me (none of them stayed, for some reason) for about an hour and a half before I left the key with a note on the desk and split. All in all, a unique experience, but not one I'd ever care to repeat. From now on, Motel 6 is my friend.

29 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The Arbor Inn in Marshall is a great place to stay for an affordable price.

I stayed here on two different occasions for about a week each. The front desk is friendly and helpful. The pool is small but very clean. The area around the Motel is also very nice a good place for afternoon walks even a nice picnic. The rooms are small but very clean.

I would have given them a higher rating but my one problem was maid service comes and knocks loudly on the door about 8:30/9 o'clock even when the do not disturbed lock is on. I am planning on returning again.

52 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

One of the 2006 economy accomodations in the Marshall MI surrounds, this single level Inn hosts privacy & traditional values. The double-sided unit two building facility is nicely but modestly landscaped and leafy shade trees are situated regularly throughout. Parking is head-in in front of each room and offers limited summer shaded parking. Parking areas are fairly level and easily walkable for exercise. A natural pond sets off to North and below the Inn and access to the waters edge is possible and the view very scenic. A maintained lawn area with a few picnic tables is situated to the East for guest use. The rooms are somewhat dated, but clean. The established nature of the Inn provides a welcoming atmosphere, and the office staff is friendly and available 24 hrs for service needs. In-ground pool is small but very adaquate to "beat-the-summer-heat". Proximity to the Interstate I-69 (and Marshall town center) is convenient and road noise is minimal since it passes by the Inn via a major roadcut which muffles all direct noise. All-in-all a pleasant stay...
