Beautiful accomodations, in historic Sharpsburg so close to the battlefield you can almost see the campfires! The best food and hosts a person can find. We know that it's their business, but we felt a closeness to joanne and paul that shows their true spirt. Good people always show through and we think these are the BEST! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE JACOB ROHRBACH INN!!!! C & T from South Dakota

We had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful home recently and will return over and over. The host & hostess were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were exquisite and most relaxing. Joanne's breakfast was to die for. A++ Thanks Lisa...

I will never stay at the Rohrbach Inn ever again. For the past three years, during anniversary weekend / Heritage Day Ive stayed at the Rohrbach Inn. While in Sharpsburg I do a first person impression of a Civil War soldier which includes not only wearing a uniform and accouterments, but also artificial hair or dye as well. This weekend, while wiping excess water soluble dye from around my hairline I stained one of their towels. Many hours later, when I returned to my room, I noticed half of my pillows had been removed. On the bed was a written note from Joanne telling me to wash my hair before I go to bed because the hair dye might ruin their pillow cases. She laid the stained towel on my pillow case as a reminder. I immediately took the towel into the bathroom, and washed it with hot water, soap and shampoo. With the exception of a few specks I was able to remove the entire stain. When I checked out the following morning I apologized for staining their towel. Joanne told me that she bleached it and couldnt get the stain out. She gave me my receipt which I didnt look at until I got home. To my surprise I was charged $10.00 for the towel in question, which was already torn, and could easily be replaced for a buck at a dollar store. Theyve lost my business for good.

From our arrival we were treated as family or old friends. The place is beautiful, and our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was juice, fresh fruit, pastry, and the most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had prepared with chives and cream cheese. We rented bikes and rode the battlefield, then walked to the new restaurant in the next block for dinner. In all, everything was much better than we imagined.
