Circa 1840, restored in 2001, with expanded continental breakfast served on the rooftop garden terrace overlooking the market area and Charleston's waterfront. The Andrew Pinckney's 3 story atrium and outdoor courtyard with lion's head fountain are perfect for relaxation after a busy day. The rooftop terrace is noted for spectacular sunsets silhouetting the church steeples and historic landmarks or our enchanting city. Charleston is truly a living museum of art and architecture.
ReserveTravel
36 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We had a similar experience as frgs19. The King bedroom on the bottom floor is on the street level and right by the street. Given the noise at night (Charleston is a party town), traffic is right outside the window, the hardwood floors outside the room, the ice machine, elevators, etc we were not able to get any sleep that night. The staff seemed to not care when we checked in, almost as if they knew we would have a bad experience in this room, but of course what could they say(other than not selling us the bad room in the first place). We checked out early after only one night. To their credit, the Inn did offered to move us to another room the next night, and gave us a discount when declined and checked out.
We should also mention the stale danish, the stained comforter, the Staff that started cleaning up our room before we actually checked out, and the holes in the towels.
I am not likely
to return to the Andrew Pinckney Inn.
I would not recommend it to friends.
