46 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
In July 2007 my sister and I checked in late at night after attending a music festival in the area. Our confirmed room had been changed from 2 beds to a room with only 1 bed with the explanation that the hotel was sold out. My sister wound up sleeping on a combination of couch cushions and bedding we had to plead for at the front desk. The room wasn't clean and the view overlooked HVAC systems. We were charged full rate. Over the past year I've written to the general manager FIVE times and have never had the courtesy of a response - not even an apology.
I would encourage travelers to stay at any of the good hotels in Campbell River and give this one a miss. Unless you're into sleeping on the floor, I suppose.

The staff went out of their way to help us. We got snowed in and could not get out of Campbell River. They gave us a special rate and got food for our children as the restaurants had already closed...

Good
This hotel gaves us a wonderful experance. We stayed in the Arabian room. The restaurants are all ocean front and the view is the best in Campbell river.
The gal at the front desk is extremely helpful (Andrea). The theme rooms are fun and comfortable and the view is great. The sushi bar seems to be open often but the Blue Oyster Restaurant is frustratingly not open at convenient times.
