Upon check in, were told we "might" get the deluxe king we reserved "in advance" if one was available, but pardon me, I reserved the room, why wouldn't we get it? I was not going to settle for less room, after reading reviews of different rooms. However, they did come through, I was ready to be very mad.
The 2nd floor room is a must, the rooms very nicely decorated, nice bathroom layout (for privacy). My main complaints, the garbage was not emptied, we had rotting food stinking there, so I put outside. Next, a dark shower, no light, hopefully you know what you are washing in the dark, a very low shower head, it's nice if you are about 4' 2. (I did love the bathroom window) It's always stuffy in hotels, but a window was nice. The air conditioning rumors are true, it's a complete mess! They have broken knobs, they can't even turn on, so look out you summertime guests. The drink machines were empty on all floors the entire time of stay. Does the front desk care? Who knows.
I still like the Candy Cane Inn best, so I probably won't come back, too far from Disneyland, good luck to you.
