I have this problem with my height, I am rather tall and usually when I go to a hotel the bed is usually too short for me.
When I got into my room I saw that the bed was short, so I went to the reception explaining my problem. The hotel was full and there were no chances to switch the room, so they made some kind of extra XXL large bed for me and I really appreciate what they did for me.
