This comfy and homey historic hotel, which is located in the Licking River Historic District of Covington, directly across from downtown Cincinnati, in view of the Roebling Bridge, is one of my all time faves.
I've stayed there a few times in recent years and always warmly welcomed by the owner, Covington Mayor Bernie Moorman, no matter if it's 11:00 at night. Sadly, I've just learned of the passing of Don Nash, the co-owner, who made custom breakfasts, to your specifications. Whatever you wished, Don made it. Omelets, French toast, bacon and eggs, sausage and biscuits, juices, you name it, and it was ready for you at the time you gave him!
Guests gather round a huge dining room table each morning and enjoy a warm, cozy experience. One time when I stayed there not too long ago, my grandson and I enjoyed the comfort of the carriage house's downstairs guest room. The room is divided by the original gate for the horses. The location is easily reached from downtown Cincinnati, and the view is marvelous.
