Just wanted to share an experience my wife and I had at the Amish Acres Arts and Craft festival this Sunday (August 4, 2008)

We arrived at the festival on Sunday to experience and enjoy all the crafts and talent that we had heard so much about throughout the years. Being the first time there it was great to see all of the artists and to see all of the beautiful things that they had created with there own hands – my wife and I were truly impressed. Having said that, the experience did not start out that way.

It was early afternoon when we arrived and we decided to get some lunch before we started walking around. We were more in the mood for a restaurant style lunch so we went to the restaurant on the grounds and it turned out to not be a pleasant experience at all. The person behind the counter was so rude and unhelpful that my wife and I decided not to eat there. Will not be back to that Restaurant again! Try a little kindness people – it can go a long way!

Place is terrible. Service is disasterous.

It was very pleasant and the trip was part of a package to see their theatre productions. We ate at their restaurant, also as part of the package.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: We had a pleasant check in. They answered our questions about the Amish Acre programs and opportunities. The rooms were styled after the Amish influence.
