We had an unfortunate incident with another hotel (they gave our room to someone else). So we called Ameritel Inn that afternoon and they had a room for us within a half an hour. No problems at all.

We chose the hotel primarily for the pool and spa, only to discover that the spa was unusable during our stay. Also, the driveway to the hotel was extremely difficult to find and navigate due to construction going on in an adjacent parking lot. The good news was that it is close to the lakefront, which was a plus.

Several nights during my five day stay, I tried to reach the front desk to obtain a wake up call. The phone rang numerous time without being answered. I had to place more than two calls before someone answered the phone!
