Horrible
The room was in a a not so great area and though that was a concern the inside was not that bad. Until the 4th of our stay when my girlfriend located a rodent in our room. The second time she saw it we called the front desk an demanded to be moved....
The staff are quite pleasant. The hotel is quite aged and looks so. Rooms are VERY small - we had three in our party and one had to get her own room. The continental breakfast room itself was extremely small, crowded and not visually welcoming.

At first look you might not like what you see. This is an older motel. But if you don't want to spend a ton of money it's a good deal. The Queen rooms are tiny (about 11 X 12) with the bath slightly less than half that size. But they are clean and have all the items you need. The A/C was off when we came into the room which made it alittle funky smelling but when cooled down it went away. After the initial shock of how small the room was (and a couple jokes about it)it wasn't so bad. The pool is also tiny. The staff are nice and helpful. I think they do the best they can with what layout they have. Just like the name says its a value compared to motels in this area. Use Grand exit we got lost.
I booked this hotel months in advance and got an ok fare, when we arrived it was so small, the a/c unit is loud that bathroom tub was small. The deck on the 3rd floor felt scary, and the internet serviced sucked, I couldn't sign on to the internet...

Afterhours hotel check lacked the sense of safety and outside was of the building. The lobby doors were locked and I had to check into my room via a "bank teller window" on the side of the building.
The room was very small and the top door lock was broken.
At booking the hotel stated a complimently breaksfast was offered, but breaksfast was not offered.

I stayed three nights and spent my days at San Diego Zoo & San Diego Sea World. The guys at the desk are very helpful,friendly,and professional. Yes, when I first arrived I wanted a room with more space,but think about it your here to just sleep....
