42 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I have stayed in many hotels in my travels but this is among the worst of the worst. We looked at other hotels in the area for cheaper but unfortunatly we choice this one. the room was smaller but that was the least of the problems. after driving for 14hrs we needed sleep. we were staying for 2 nights. the first problem was the room was not cleaned there was a pair of boxers left hanging on the back of the bathroom door. the manager offered to give us another room. After the lights went out the roaches came out as well. 2 of them that we saw. we did not stay any longer than that. they did refund our money. would not recommend this to anyone. We were hoping to find a hotel to come to once a month. but it won't be this one

37 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for business

Although I have a "value club card" for this hotel, I will not be using it again.

The person who handles the reservations is polite, but was unable to give simple information on how much I was being charged. I was quoted a price for a group of rooms and told it was the price for "both nights" and that I would get my value club discount on the package. When I called to confirm the day the guests were arriving, I was told I would not be given a discount because I had too many rooms. One would expect to get a discount for having more rooms rather than not getting one for having many rooms.

Also, the price for "both nights" was for each night. I ended up having to cancel some rooms, and was completely unable to get an answer as to how much I was going to be charged for fewer rooms. I still do not know how much they are planning on charging me, and I could not get through on the telephone today. It is priced like a mid-range, not budget hotel, and should have more knowledgeable staff on the phones.

34 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The building is in pretty bad shape, and the staff members are under qualified for customer service. I met with the owner and manager on my room not being clean, and the owner acted like he didn’t care about my concerns and gave me excuses, but didn’t offer to switch my room. I did notice that they had free internet so I didn’t complain too much, but the smell in my room was awful, I had to leave my door open most of the day.

It was also listed as a bar, the restaurant/bar had been closed for years so that was disappointing. The clientele that I ran into were questionable and I was also approached by an escort asking for a good party. I would not recommend this to my friends or even enemies.

I am not likely to return to the America's Best Value Inn Wilmington.
I would not recommend it to friends.
