I loved the people who worked there. They were very friendly and visited with us. However my love for this motel stops here. There were leaks behind the toilet, under the sink, the tub was dirty as was the whole room, and we had no power mid way through the night. The Kleenex dispenser kept falling off the wall every time we shut the bathroom door. Mid-way through the night we lost power. The backup generator did not work, except in the lobby/office area. There is no excuse for this motel being in this condition, despite Katrina as they get enough business to have it better maintained. Other motels we stayed in in the area were good! I contacted America's Best Value Inns who passed the buck saying their motels were independently owned/operated but that they'd contact the motel. Other guests shared similar experiences with us.
