We first drove by this place, and it's not in a particularly good part of town. It's in a residential area. So, we decided to try some other places........well, after driving around and around, we decided this one was the best that we had seen for the money. After staying there, it was fine. It was clean, the grounds were nice and there was a very nice continental breakfast the next morning in a pleasant room. I would stay here again. Not for the picky people who have a lot of money, but it was fine for us middle class people.

Don't be deceived by the "lodge" tag put on this place. It's a glorified budget motel. People were nice enough but I knew we were not going to

be happy when we had to leave the downtown of Napa and as we drove to

this place, we passed the housing for those that work in the fields and then

a variety of auto repair places almost right next door to it. The room was

typical "motel" style and had no atmosphere at all. The bath towels you can

almost see through and the bed sheets and bath linens smelled of bleach.

When we got into bed, the apt. building behind the place had a bunch of kids outside yelling and then later a lowrider car with a thumping stereo showed up. We had it booked for 2 nights but couldn't get out of there fast enough after the first one. If you're the type that doesn't expect much from these type of places then you'll probably like it...but personally, I want a lot more when I'm traveling. Guess you get what you pay for afterall. My recommendation...stay away...in droves.

I had a reseveration for a queen and a sleeper sofa. BEWARE this place is not nice to their guests! When i realized I was going to be late I called about 1:00 pm. I was told I could not cancel the reseveration. I said ok thanks I will be there. Two...
