Americas Best Value Inn Junction Hotel - Page 1

We were given a room upstairs only to find we had wheeled our suitcases thru a white poison powder into our rooms. Why?!? Because after entering the rooms we found dead bugs littered all over the floor. After instructing my children to stand still and not touch anything, I picked up the phone to call the front desk. The phone cradle was full of dead bugs. I called the front desk, explained to the gentleman that I needed a different room and why. He sent an elderly man (who couldn't speak English) up with more room keys. We tried the room next door, only to see bugs start scurrying across the floor when the lights were turned on. The older man dove and started trying to catch the bugs to keep me from seeing them. Long story...short...I demanded a refund. The first gentleman gave me the refund, very grudgingly, and kept inquiring if we had used the first room. We found a very nice, clean motel to stay in...bug-free, of course. I would still like to know what the older man did with the bugs he caught.

The location was fine, but I won't stay there again. I feel the room was overpriced. There wasn't a fridge or microwave, yet the price was the same as other rooms I have stayed in that included these items. I didn't care for the people that owned the inn or those who were in charge. We were refugees from Hurricane Rita and they really didn't care, as long as we paid our bill in advance.
