Having had difficulties with our arrangements at another hotel, we came across this unassuming looking hotel. From the outside, it's appearance is quite Retro, yet the accomodations were spacious and very well kept. Located on Steinwehr Ave., it is within walking distance of the National Cemetary, The Peach Orchard, and the field were Pickett's Charge took place. It is also conveniently located by several restaurants with various budgets, which include Pickett's Buffet, McDonald's, Friendly's, KFC, The Dobbins House (worth the price for the experience alone), and what used to be "The Gingerbread Man".
The staff was extremely courtious and friendly at all times. Being yearly visitor's to Gettysburg, we've found a new place to stay.
Honestly, the hotel rooms are horrible.

The hotel is older, but the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the extremely poor wireless Internet signal even though free wireless internet is advertised. Would stay there again if the Internet...

What a great value, about 1/2 the price of big name hotels and literally directly across the entrance to the Battlefield. No hotel is closer to the National Park. Great friendly service, knowledgeable staff and best of all -- they all were...
I had a room booked for a month because I was getting married. The day of my marriage we went to Gettysburg for our honeymoon. I had told the hotel that we should arrive between 9:00pm and midnight. We arrived around 11:00. When we called from...
