We moved here after a couple of days at the Budget Inn nest door, because the former would not give us a cheaper weekly rate. Rats to that. We were just starting up, and could not really afford $70 a day while we waited for an apartment. I would come again only for the caretaker, an older man, who was a sweetheart and would do anything for us. But to be honest, we had to run the A/C 24/7 because my husband said the room had a "sick smell." Ironically we did both get quite sick with a cold 2 days later, but I rather thought the bad odor was from mold/must? Although we put down an extra bathmat out of courtesy, the shower curtain wasn't adequate to keep water from pooling on the floor beside the sink cabinet. Also, the toilet or bathroom itself reeked of urine by the end of the day even though I cleaned it personally every morning. No clue why. My husband constantly complained about feeling something like bugs crawling on him in the night. I found nothing after numerous searches, but in the second week I finally found a reddish-brown tear-shaped bug on the undersheet when I was making the bed. I wondered if it was from pets? (I always worry about fleas in motels because not all owners are responsible enough to spend money on regular deworming). Thankfully I had to leave the next day, but my husband is still there. I don't know what the other rooms were like, but AVOID room 107!
