Americas Best Value Inn Brenham Hotel

We had six rooms, and every one of them had something wrong. Two rooms had spiders in them. (no joke) One room had stained sheets. One room had a car air freshener hanging from the air conditioner vent. One room had 2 AA batteries laying on the bathroom floor, which led us to believe that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Even the outside areas were in a state of disrepair, with one storage room door being almost pulled off the hinges, one wi-fi antenna evidently being stolen from the eaves (the wires were still dangling), several light fixtures missing, and ice machines that looked as if you might catch something deadly if you even touched them.

I don't normally complain about hotels, and I have stayed in some low-rent places in the past, but this site is below the rest. I cannot say it strongly enough -- DO NOT STAY HERE until MAJOR changes are made. If you have to stay in Navasota, Giddings, or Sealy and drive, then make the drive.

A little scary to arrive at night to a chained and locked lobby. Got keys through a bulletproof glass window on the side of the hotel. I'm hoping the big stain on the floor wasn't blood or other bodily fluids. Air conditioner and TV worked.

People were throwing rocks at my window from the parking lot. I called the front desk to request police and no call was made. The owner was particularly unfriendly to us. The room was dirty and smelly. The bathroom was unsanitary. I have previously stayed in much nicer rooms elsewhere for less money.

This place is an outright dump. The hotel customer service stunk as bad as the place looked. The two were a match. The room smelt like old mold, the bed sheets were heavily stained along with the towels. I had to spray with Lysol everything before even thinking about lying down. The pool was a green swamp, to sum it up.
