26 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I was here during BIKE WEEK with my parents, and since I was there with my two young children I clearly was not on a bike of my own but was with bikers! The first and only night I was there, I was chased across the parking lot by the neighboring restaurant's "bouncer"? and was threatened to be towed and arrested for parking in the parking lot of this hotel which I was staying in. The man that chased me down would or could not tell me where I was supposed to park, mainly because he was not a hotel employee, just a nosy neighbor shouting at me that they were all owned by the same people! You can imagine the fear I had considering I had two young children asleep in my backseat. All I was trying to do was find out where I could actually park and really wanted to unload my children and their things there in front of the hotel before I had to move half a block down the street to the restaurant's overflow parking, simply b/c I was not parking a motorcycle. Even after I agreed to move my vehicle to the "designated" parking for four wheeled hotel guests (hotel security had been called over by this time), I was continually harassed and I had to simply walk away from one of the security guards to end the scene that I had so-called started. After all of this had occurred and was over, we found out the same thing had happened to a woman bound to a wheelchair staying in the motel also! Her husband had to fight to park her vehicle on the same side of the street, but they were still not allowed to park in the handicapped parking space because it was reserved for motorcycles as well. If I am not wrong, that is illegal, but that apparently did not matter to them! My father went down to speak the general manager a few doors down the next morning to make a formal complaint against the troublesome employees and found that he'd been blacklisted, not that it really mattered. The GM apologized for the events and practically begged him to not write off this place for future vacations and was told he had been removed from the blacklist and was added to the 15% discount list. Even after that, the female hotel manager still tried to say she was the general manager and tried to charge my dad the extra person fee saying we had more than 4 people in the room. My dad had already addressed that issue with the GM because we actually only had 3 adults in the room and two small children (the GM told him children did not count), so I am not real sure what she was trying to do other than be rude. Oh yeah, to top it all off the parking lot was never actually full the entire night. THANKS for all your courtesy and help AMERICA'S BEST VALUE INN, it's not really worth all the trouble!
Don't waste your time or money (even though the rates are lower) with this place. It is NOT worth it. There is construction work going on across the road which makes it loud and noisy. The motel is old and outdated and the rooms are ancient. ...
Nasty, loud construction across the street, balconies on first floor NOT private, one night we woke up to people on our patio drinking, no parking, sidewalk cracked/hazardous, had portions of the walkway blocked off with yellow caution tape (okay -...
