I will never recommend this hotel! – Posted Dec 25, 2006

Horrible

It was the worst hotel that I have ever seen or been to! They make it seem okay on the internet, but that is not what I came into in my room. That’s just false advertising.

The room had no light bulbs in the lamps, no alarm clock, and the receptionist could not even do his job and make the wake up call on time. They didn't even give us a wake-up call! I will never come back and will never recommend this hotel.

Checking in was decent, and all seemed to be going well, until we got to the room. The room was untidy, there was stuff all over the walls, the floor was dirty, there were bugs throughout the room, burn marks on the sheets, a porno magazine under the mattress, the window screen was ripped as though someone was trying to get in or out, and just an unsafe feeling while staying there.

Outside the room, there were stains on the stairway railing, scared to even question what it was, possibly could have been blood. I was thinking that someone was involved in a shooting there and that someone one was shot outside the room. I had just an eerie feeling about the place and wanted to leave before I was the next victim of a murder.

Dead bugs around the bed – Posted Jul 29, 2006

There were dead bugs around the bed and on the walls, the room had filthy carpets, sheets with cigarette burns, the hallways reeked of Pine Sol and urine. The bathroom was not clean, it was nasty. They have a no refund policy. This place is a hole.

The stench of mold was overwhelming – Posted Jul 29, 2006

This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in the USA. Only a very few holes in the third world are worse. The outside is run down and unkempt. The halls contains broken hotel TV's. The toilet was broken and overflowed the first time I tried to flush it. The sheets were dirty with cigarette burns in the blankets. Turning on the A/C produces a foul odor. There was no screen in the window, so opening the window would let in bugs to join the dead roaches under the bed. The stench of mold was overwhelming and no amount of ventilation would get rid of the smell. As I made the mistake of booking a prepaid three day stay during the big air show, I was very disappointed to see a large sign over the front desk proclaiming no refunds for early departures.

Stay away – Posted Jul 11, 2006

We stayed at the Parkway because all of the other hotels were sold out. The floors hadn't been vacuumed. There was a sanitized band on the toilet seat but I think they only cleaned the seat. There were coffee grounds dried out in the coffee maker. I'm not sure we had clean sheets. I would not stay there again. I'd drive to another town for a clean place to stay.

Wow!! The hallway smelled of urine. The check-in process was painful after a 3 hour drive from Chicago. All we wanted to do was sleep. Then we get to the room... it was not cleaned. I mean, the bed was slept in. There were wet towels thrown throughout the room. Nothing was cleaned! We can go on. It was the only place on Hotwire, need we say more.

Almost a "pit" – Posted Jul 10, 2005

Horrible

First, they advertise a "pool"... There never has been one... So, the "closed for renovations" is simply not true. There is a pool and building "under construction"... Very much not close to being finished. But, it is...
