First of all, my hat off to you sirs, for being the only last-minute lodging available when all others were full on a busy night in beautiful downtown Santa Maria. My glass is tipped to you! I stayed on Saturday with my gal-pal Ambrosia. (She's a third year medical student, and her current studies include a course in crime lab analysis, as a prerequisite to her dream of becoming a licenced coroner.) As a lark, she brought along her "kit" (she's a bit of a clean freak!), and after examing the very spacious bed, found only 3 human hairs belonging to two different people. This can hardly be considered beyond reproach, especially for the convenient prices you offer to the honest, work-a-day Joe!
We had our weekly game of Chinese Checkers in the room, a game which we are both passionate about. The strategy and preparation involved in Chinese Checkers seems to almost be a metaphor for life, and win or lose (I usually win), I feel a renewed sense of vitality in life after a round or two. The ambiance and amenities provided in the room were top notch! The drape patterns were simple but elegant, the art work was tasteful, and the little fridge on the bathroom sink was an added perk!
We did however have a couple of complaints (though minor): the front door to our room (2nd floor, #25) sticks terribly, and takes an incredibly strong and supple arm to get open. While this would seem to be a potential fire-hazard, we weren't worried as the bathroom window overlooked a used car lot next door, and jutted up against your building are a few moving trucks for sale, perfect for stepping out onto in case of emergency. Also, while using the restroom, I spotted my next car, a 1979 Toronado in the perfect shade of olive green. For this, I thank you!
The only other complaint may actually be somewhat out of your control, as I'm sure there are laws against who you can prohibit from purchasing a room, however, you may want to keep a more discriminating eye in the future. Our neighbors in room 26 were two woman in their 60's who had a very suspicious nature about them. One woman had on a leg brace, though she didn't limp. All through the night we heard strange bumps and moaning. Later, I saw this same woman come out of her room, and the leg brace was on a different leg! I don't even want to speculate what kind of debauchery took place (and believe me, I at times have a very active imagination), but aside from this minor oddity, we were quite pleased with our stay!
Thank you for a pleasant evening! Nary a roach to be seen!

This sad little motel is in desperate need of some TLC. I wish that I would have read the reviews before I booked this room. My husband and I left and found another place to spend the night. I have to agree with the person who said that they would...
49 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The only nice thing about the place is that the room was clean. The outside grounds were dirty, with cigarette butts and stains on the stairs and hallways. The room was supposed to be non smoking but it was apparent it had once been a smoking room due to the foul smell of old smoke. The room needed major upgrades and the mattress was so worn out it was hard not to fall out of the thing. The toilet seat had come off and the shower door handle had broken off. The pool was green with algae. This hotel is also home to full time residents with several screaming children running around the area.

The bed was so uncomfortable we woke up with sore backs. The bath towels are like sandpaper. There are homeless people dumpster diving in the parking lot, and there are clearly many families "living" at this motel. It is cheap, but you get what you...
