The staff was friendly. The room was shabby and everything needed to be replaced. The carpet was so old it was impossible to tell if it was clean and so was the bedspread. The sheets appeared to be clean. I expected plain, simple, inexpensive but clean and fresh accommodations from the Red Roof hotel. I did not get the clean and fresh accommodations.
I am not likely
to return to the Americas Best Value Inn - Independence/Kansas City.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Horrible
I paid for the room in advance through Travel agency. At check-in, they required my credit card to cover any additional charges, like phone calls. (The phone in the room didn't even work.) A few days after I returned home, they re-billed the 2...
